macham copy my service 20 route from pasir ris to kent ridge. difference is that is operates from the north east instead of the east. Razz

I suggested a route once in this forum or in MSN. I now have a newer/updated/better version of it.

One problem is that i dont think SBST will agree. Shortworking will definitely have to be implemented if its happens as svc 83's demand is 50% higher than 163. Another point to note is that of both services frequency.

They can extend 163 as they did when they extend it to Sengkang.

They introduced 163A till 371 was extended.

Are you sure ADDs can use roads like Pasir Ris St 21 and Pasir Ris St 41? Dont make such sweeping statements if you dont know the road situation in Pasir Ris.

Street 71 is narrow, I agree but what I want to emphasise here is that does the ADD has sufficient turning radius to make the left turns from a main road into the streets? Take for example, if you want to implement ADDS on Service 3. Is the ADD able to turn left into Street 21 from Drive 2? I have seen drivers on N113CRBs and Mk3 having difficulties turning because of the kerb there and traffic in the opposite direction. With the larger turning radiuses of ADDs, I dont foresee it being easier in any way.

Depends on which roads in Pasir Ris. Service 359 can use VO 2-axles to ply St 11, St 51 and part of St 71.

I agree with Delon. Not only the place to position the aircon is a problem, having to support an additional 500kg aircon could mean too much for the 2nd axle to bear.

Volvo Olympian 2 axles are unable to use under carriage a/c units as they are too low.

The 2x are able to turn because they are turning RIGHT at st 71 loop area instead of turning left. Turning right at a junction is easier than turning left.

I've seen service 3 drivers have some difficulty turning from dr 10 to st 71 because of the turning radius. Majority of them are used to it though... Razz

The 2-axle VOs cannot be converted. A third axle has to be added to support the weight of the air-conditioning unit, which is not possible.

Ok, Sengkang has been very well planned

371, 372 serving Sengkang West where LRT is not launched yet. 86 is very fast to AMK. 87 very well linked to Kaki Bukit.

Also 3 services serving to TPY. 156 serving Bt Timah, Bishan, Serangoon, Clementi. It is almost very accesible except....

going to Shenton Way, Orchard Road after 85, 501, 502 were withdrawn from the area! But, many won't mind it as going to Orchard Road now is 50% less to travel.

OK, next will be Bedok.

Buses quite well planned but 229 leaves before last MRT trip. 401 may need ADDs as I saw many passengers waiting for 401 along most major bus stop along East Coast Park like Lagoon, ECRC.

Sv 60 (226 part) too does not serve up to 0030 as well, Bedok Nth Road residents not happy I think?

The ADD is going to flip as it negotiates the narrow roads and sharp turns at ECP Service Road.

First time visiting to CCK stadium, and first time visiting to Yew Tee estate. The whole Yew Tee seems to be served by 302 and 307, and both are townlink services.

Compare Yew Tee with Ponggol or Seng Kang or Pasir Ris, Yew Tee has very bad transportation services. Anyway YT residents are satisfied with the only MRT station, no complaints heard from them.

If I were a resident of Yew Tee, I would probably request for TIBS 75, 77 or 970 to be diverted to Yew Tee.

Do we have other new estates which are worse than Yew Tee?

401's ADD is just a suggestion that may never work.
