Tibs MB0405 running around

cck_190 SG · 2004-05-05T16:00:08+00:00

It used to be svc 857 bus. No wonder there was a time where I didn't even see 491 on 857.

cck_190 SG

The first few batch of MB0405, which came in SG in 1995, seems to be running ard, esp the KJDEP ones.Any idea why?

SBS9845X SG

which batch? Regos?

cck_190 SG

The ones 4xx-60x, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not saying that 200 buses are being run around.I mean the buses come from this range of rego. A lot of strangedeployments recently. Can find on 307,985,920,188,190 & more...but the number of buses running around is not that large. Mostly come from KJDEP

freakybuses SG

but also quite a lot from AMKDEP.

TIB1186Z SG

And quite a lot from WLDEP too. Many on 858, 187 etc.

SBS9818A SG

Let’s just say TIBS are going mad, ya?

cck_190 SG

Actually, recently, there's a LOT of CAC 0405 for 187

SBS9816E SG

It seems that KJDEP is having insufficient number of buses, and therefore buses have to rotate duties.

SBS9818A SG

Possible. Explaining why 425R and 426M are now KJDEP buses again.

Hey there everyone! Smile

I also noticed that some of the WDL buses being deployed elsewhere like:

TIB538Z - AMKDEP
TIB491Z - KJDEP

But seriously like all of you, I do wonder why are Tibs O.405s running around these days...

cck_190 SG

Most of the running around 0405 buses are the first few batch that came to Singapore in 1995. IMO, I think they are going to be scrapped soon

off_service SG

Eh.. I thought TIB 538 Z is now a KJ bus??

off_service SG

I believe the deployments is attributed to the lack of buses. Many WLDEP bendies are also deployed randomly these days, does this mean they are to be scrapped too?

cck_190 SG

It is...it's a perm 188

cck_190 SG

WLDEP's situation is not so bad. @ KJDEP, quite a number of the MB0405s are being run-around. Tibs really needs to buy new buses, seriously

SBS9818A SG

It's pure refusal to admit they are short of buses and urgently need about say, 20 more.

cck_190 SG

They may need much more than 20. If twenty is used to improve the bus services situation, what will the imaginary "Service 950" use? IMO, they need AT LEAST 50 buses.

Wink

service_238 SG

35-40 should be just nice. TIBS doesnt need many buses for WDL - JB route.

TIB744U SG

Hey there everyone.

Oops... Why am I always mistaking buses deployed on Service 61 to have come from AMKDEP!? Sigh... My mistake, sorry Embarassed

I think that the "Service 950" route would have to have at least 40 buses, since there're traffic jams occurring at the causeway, let alone having standby buses for the service.
