not sure, don't think it'll be in the near future. the punggol estate needs to be well-developed to sustain it but the situation now doesn't seems to favour this. probably 2 yrs from now, or more.

even the names are not yet decided… so not so soon.

Remember that Sengkang LRT west loop has not open yet, due to under-development. Punggol town is still not much developed. Punggol LRT east loop will open earlier than west loop.

Not that long...SBS Transit will have to give up NEL to SMRT. First, govt say they don't want to force them to give up or merge.Then, govt cannot stand seeing NEL under SBST, so, SBST will be forced to give up/merge their RAIL operations.

I would be the happiest person in the world becoz, if SBS give up NEL, there will be a high chance of SBS re-taking over CCK & BB.Tibs will get back SK/PG

Sorry, SBST will never give up NEL. It'd be a severe loss of face for them as it shows they can't operate a rail line decently.

Sengkang is already so good... SBST spent quite much effort to link the towns... I don't want to see AMK infested with Tibs buses... that will mean 86, 156, 159, 136 becoming Tibs!!! Hougang will become a disaster... 1/2 tibs, 1/2 SBST...

What makes you think i like Tibs buses infesting CCK??? I hate the fact that SBS lost an area they controlled for more than ten years just like that*snap fingers*.

btw, I think TIBS shud control AMK as their HQ is there.

I saw the word 'Meridian' as one of the station names... Its near Blk 173/174/109

The east loop have at least been named already... but not yet released by LTA.

I just wish SBS take back the whole of the Northwest(CCK,BB,BP)in exchange with Tibs for the Northeast
