i think Svc 11 is a non-profit route, more like a community convenience kinda service

162 shd be re-routed...its route from yio chu kang to bishan st 22 can easily be replaced by 13 from another direction. from sin ming to thomson there's 410 from thomson to novena there's 166, 167 and others, from newton to shenton way there's 167

36 can be extended to Bt Merah Int.
More buses to Beach Road. (Possible to extend 75)

162 provides a direct link from Sin Ming and Bishan st 22 residents to town. It certainly has its reasons for its winding in AMK central and bishan.

Good ideas except 36. Its as good as 36 in its days when it was renumbered. Razz Hmm... How abt extending it to Buona Vista? Smile

I would like SBST 200 to loop at Bukit TImah Road. The proposed route would be:

.... Holland Ave, Holland Road, Farrer Road, Bukit Timah Road, Sixth Ave, Holland Road, North Buona Vista Road, North Buona Vista Road (Buona Vista MRT), South Buona Vista Road....

Alternatively, it could be:
.... Holland Ave, Holland Road, Farrer Road, Bukit Timah Road, Dunearn Road , Farrer Road, Holland Ave, Commonwealth Ave West, North Buona Vista Road, South Buona Vista Road...

Or perhaps SBST 156 can be amended to terminate at Kent Ridge:
.... Bukit TImah ROad, Sixth Ave, Holland Road, North Buona Vista Road, NUH, NUS, Kent Ridge Terminal. (With that SBST 95 can be withdrawn).

That will provide residents a more direct access to the school zones in Bukit Timah Road.

If service 162 is re-routed, the link between Ang Mo Kio Ave 8 (between Ave 1 and Ave 3) and Bishan St 22, Sin Ming Ave will be lost.

This evening I took SBST195 from Commonwealth Drive to Ikea. I had waited for 20 minutes for the bus. On leaving at Commonwealth Ave (Queenstown MRT), the bus was sardined packed. And half of the bus load alight at Alexandra Road (Os Ikea Building).

There are 3 bus services (SBST 147, SBST 196, SBST 19 Cool plying between Commonwealth Ave (Commonwealth MRT) and Jalan Bukit Merah (Os Safra Bukit Merah), may I propose one of the 3 bus services to ply via the following route:

...Commonwealth Ave (Commonwealth MRT), Commonwealth Ave (Queenstown MRT), Alexandra Road (Ikea Building), Jalan Bukit Merah, ......

Any Comments..

I welcome that. Smile That's the former route of service 147 between Clementi and Jurong East. But it will be difficult to become a reality, because there's already service 99 along the route.

But svc 99 is only serving the far west!!! No bus from the north to connect to the far west...

but to the bus companies, route duplication is where a stretch of roads spanning many busstops are actually served by more than one bus service. it doesnt matter if the bus services start where so long they duplicate somewhere along their routes for a long stretch.

For TIBS 77 and 106, their duplication is rather obvious for the part from Holland Rd to Marina Ctr
