Service 175

As you all should know, Service 175 has no proper berth @ CCK interchange. But today, 3 April 2004, Trans Island Bus Services have deployed a berth for service 175(Berth B4, 3rd row).

I think some major thing is going to happen to 175. It might be shortened to serve CCK-LCK instead to Upper Bt Timah. Might be

Services 175 has a proper boarding berth in CCK Interchange all along, isn't it? Just that it was sharing the same berth with the Villa Verde shuttle.

That's what I thought too. Anyway, the new berth was made probably because of pressure from commuters of Service 175 themselves, and doesn't mean that changes or amendments would be made to Service 175 anytime soon. But then again, anything's possible.

Yes... What I mean is that it has changed to berth B4, a berth with a Queueing line complete with railings.

yup, that's what I mean. I still think some type of amendment is going to happen.

Cannot change berth just because too many passengers queueing up as said earlier. Anyway, passengers boarding 175 from the interchange is not that much.

I thought service 175 has shifted berth before? In the beginning, service 175 berth is where it's nearest to the control office, near the walkway to and fro the MRT station. But when I went there again in Dec 2003, service 175 has shifted to the most front berth, together with service 927.

Yes, you are right.First, it was at berth B5,the most front. When you came back there, it did not change berth.It was still at the same berth only that the row 175 used to be had been removes.So, it became a service without a proper berth. Now, it has moved to Berth B4

Beside service 175, which other services currently use berth B4?

Berth B5 is the one nearest to the control office. Berth B4 is the second nearest.Other services using B4 is 172 & 925.I hope u understand what i mean Mr. Green

Ok. To me, most front berth means berth B1, most behind berth (nearest to the alighting area) is berth B5. When I went there in Dec 2003, service 175 used berth B1 which is furthest from the alighting area. The number 175 is on a piece of paper which was pasted over the overhead sign.

Anyway, how come CCK int Overhead signs are just a piece of paper pasted over it while other interchanges have proper overhead signs?!?

I don't think so.Other interchanges have proper overhead signs even after changing berths recently.

If you come to CCK int, these are the Svcs with 'paper-pasted' on overhead signs

Maybe those services are using the berths temporary? The pasted signs may be there for a short while, before the services are moved to permanent berths.

I never thought of that although it might be possible. But some of the services' pasted signs since 2002 Shocked
