The line will terminate at Bukit Panjang. Personally, Kranji is better as there's more land available.

Although Kranji has more land, the BTL between Bt Panjang and Kranji would be of a total wastage of money as there's practically nothing along that stretch of Woodlands Rd.

for the time being, i dun think they will go beyond BP new town... but they do have plans to extend it to Sungei Kadut and beyond in the future...

As for Sungei Kadut, LTA had plan to build a MRT station there, on the Woodlands MRT extension, but was later dropped.

It was not dropped. it's a future station just like Dover which was constructed on an existing line. even the code has been reserved for it. NS6.

No,no,no. I mean that Choa Chu Kang might be an interchange.The train might pass through there before going into the City. It might be like that as having 2 MRT lines near each other but not connected might be very troublesome, I hope u understand. Wink

I don't think it was dropped. It's still in the developmental stages, same for the stop b/w Yishun and Sembawang.

But somehow I think that LTA will never build a MRT station in an industrial area. Maybe the station will only be build when Sungei Kadut is redeveloped?

Maybe cck190 means a direct MRT connection from CCK to Bt Timah/Dunearn Rd, and not having to take LRT and transfer at Bt Panjang?

yup. it will be redeveloped in the future in god knows when. by then, the station will be constructed.

Everyone would like a direct link instead of a transfer. However, unless there is a high demand, it is a waste of money to have 2 systems running in parallel.

NE2 would have been built near Spottisewood Park estate by logic, near the KTM rail station, but since the land is completely built up NE2 will not happen anytime soon.

and of course the sg gov cannot use the malaysian land at the railway station. It seems impossible for that.

My wish is granted. LTA is conducting a feasibility study to extend EWL from Boon Lay to Jurong Industrial Estate.

Though a Multi Storey Carpark is blocking its way, as said, we can tear down our National Library, what's a MSC?

Transport Minister had just said that his ministry will be EXTRA CAUTIOUS when constructing new rail lines (BTL, Eastern Line, Jurong Light Rail). Hence probably one still has to WAIT LONG LONG for these rails.

Which will be the first line to built (BTL, Eastern Line or JLR?)
When do you think the Ministry will anounce the building of the these lines? (I think 2007)
