Reclassifications of SBST bus interchange districts

Hi all, SBST has reclassfied it's interchanges into East and West districts.

EAST DISTRICT

Ang Mo Kio
Bishan
Serangoon
Toa Payoh
Bedok
Tampines
Pasir Ris

WEST DISTRICT

Boon Lay
Bukit Merah
Clementi
Jurong East
Eunos
Hougang Central
Sengkang
Punggol Temp Interchange
HarbourFront

Those in red are new additions to the East district, orange to West district.

In summary

1. All Central interchanges (AMKDEP controlled) are handed to East district.
2. North East and Eunos Interchanges (HGDEP controlled) are handed to West district.

Did I lose my geographical sense??? Those in Orange are definitely not in West of Singapore. SBST should not have continued to use East and West, rather it should simply just use Zone 1 and ZOne 2.

It will just confuse us and would only reflect unprofessionalism on SBST.

Seriously i feel that SBST had made some errors here Confused or maybe it is just their code districts only Shocked .Well nothing major,Eunos is in the East,Toa Payoh is Central and Hougang are Northeast as far we already acknowledge. Laughing

I think the staff at SBST must have failed their geography. HGDEP should remain in the East.

Serangoon doesn't belong in the west. Perhaps they could have done a better integration job.

I just had a chat to a SBST personnel this morning and he told me that there was some retrenchment going on in SBST internally. Hence, East District (BNDEP HGDEP) closed down.

Therefore, since Central District is nearest to the East, Central takes over control of East District. At the same time it renamed itself as East District.

This is the answer why AMDEP and bram are in East.

As the new East District is too big, SBST need to send one DEP to the west. This DEP would be the western-most DEP in the former East District. That lucky guy to be in West is HGDEP.

This is the answer why HGDEP are in West.
