Perhaps the Tricon group which owns KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut
& Long John Silvers? They might have been renamed to become the
Yum group.
There's another group that owns Starbucks, etc., but I can't
remember it now.
(Note: these groups are
franchises which employs mostly locals, I believe.)
Actually, it would be easier for you to visit the American Club
located near the Scotts/Orchard Road area. That's the club for
American expats.
