off_service SG From what we heard from some bus fans is that the Dennis Lances are confirmed sold (no exact figures) and the Scania L113s are to be kept by Tibs. The updated Tibs Motors website (updated 3rd Dec 2003) shows the following figures: DAF SB220: 20 units Dennis Lance 245: 49 units Scania L113: 50 units Apparently the updated site doesn't reflect any of the news that our bus fans heard. The Scania L113s are still for sales.
off_service SG I think as the Nissan Diesels are leased from CSS, it is not feasible to sell them off as CSS is considered as an "individual" bus company.
TIB1186Z SG Not to mention that the Malaysian Lances are often fraught with plenty of problems, and suffer from comparitively more breakdowns. Also, many of the Nissan Diesels are especially retrofitted for training roles, such as TIB366.
SBS9818A SG I think TIBS Motors didn’t update their site, they just changed the date to show their superiors “hey, I updated it”
off_service SG Yes. Note to all Any enquiries about the selling of Dennis Lances, Scania L113s and DAFs, please post here.
SBS9818A SG I know how much you wish for them to be sold, but according to my contacts at TIBS they will be keeping them.
