Services 62, 82, 107 and 119

I have the following suggestion to the 4 services. Please comment on them. Smile

A better and higher demand route for service 62:
Punggol interchange, Punggol Place [Express], Punggol Field, Punggol East [Express], Sengkang East Drive, Sengkang East Way [Express], Rivervale Drive, Sengkang East Ave, Punggol Rd, Hougang Ave 10, Hougang Central, Upp Serangoon Rd, Hougang St 21, Hougang Ave 1 and continue with current route to Lor 1 Geylang.

Service 107 to cover service 82 route:
Service 107 to extend to Punggol via Hougang Ave 10, Punggol Rd, Punggol Field, Punggol Place [Express] and Punggol interchange. Service 82 to be withdrawn.

Service 119 to extend to Serangoon and Punggol:
Service 119 to amend to operate from Serangoon interchange to Punggol Rd end (loop), via Serangoon interchange, Serangoon Central, Upp Serangoon Rd, Upp Paya Lebar Rd, Lor Ah Soo, Hougang Ave 1, Hougang St 21, Upp Serangoon Rd, Hougang Ave 8, Hougang Ave 10, Punggol Rd, Sengkang East Ave, Rivervale Drive, Sengkang East Way, Sengkang East Rd, Punggol Way [Express], Punggol Central, Punggol Rd and Punggol Rd end (loop).

Wouldn't 119 be a current duplication of Sv. 82 current route? Sv. 119 should loop at Sims Place or go to Shenton Way via HG Ave 3 and Geylang East. That way when Sv. 80 is withdrawn due to CCL residents still have a bus to go to town.

That is a good point, but I think we should take a step at a time.

Anyway, I find tranquilice's suggestions rather sound.

119 can replace 82 but it does not need to use Lor Ah Soo as there is 113.

62 as well as it does not serve like 113 up to the last MRT train. As for 82, with the intergration of rts like admendment of 107 and 119. But it might not be as direct as 82. But think of it, how much takes 82 now? You have espically 62 to Punggol, 119 to Sengkang, 107 to HGN.

Nope, if you read again, the route of suggested service 119 between Sengkang East Way and Kovan station remains unchanged.

Service 82 is suggested to be withdrawn.

How high is the load factor of 82 during peak hours?

I dunno, I have not see the load before. But judging on the route, it duplicates service 107 to Hougang Central, then follow service 88 route from Hougang Ave 10 to Punggol flyover, there should be lower demand in my opinion.

Indeed, Sv. 82 has no use now.

So as AMDEP has so many excess CRBs, why not put it on 82? But I think they pamper Sengkang and Punggol alot, 1st FAC feeder sevice was launched there when high demands like 238 are still PAC.

Generally, I split it into 2

SGN - HGN: Not high, 15% the most
HGN - PGL: 45% the most.

NB: 82 does not have ADDs anymore.

Sv. 82 has three perm N113s, 47S, 3671U, 3673P.

My dearest 238 had SBS 3596 D, SBS 3598 Z, SBS 3599 X, SBS 3605 L, SBS 3625 D, SBS 3652 A, SBS 208 U, SBS 226 S, SBS 390 A and a few more MBs when it was PAC. It gradually had only SBS 3605 L as PAC in early 2002.
