How do first shift drivers get to work?

How to the drivers scheduled to operate the first line of buses get to the depot/interchange? Do all of them live within walking distance of them? And how do the drivers of the last buses get home?

AFAIK,1st shift mostly>Those with vehicles straight away went to depot to drive the selected bus service and to the interchange/Terminal.Without vehicles,Had to wake as early as 4am to wait for the employee buses to fetch them around 4.30 to 4.45am.Same thing, Reach depot,Drive the selected bus.Last bus> Normally headed straight to depot after punch card at their respective interchange/terminal.Also same thing,W/o vehicles had to wait for the employee bus to get home.
Actually this thing i know due to previous interview at TIBS AMK depot.The HR explain this to me. Smile

Even saw one driving a mercedes down to the interchange (clementi)

Those with cars are usually staffs of higher posts. I suppose they are either there for a visit or at least working at the interchange office.

The most common transportation that the drivers own are motorcycles.

i think they employed a small group of people (~30) to do the "midnight shift", sending PM shift drivers home at midnight and sending the AM drivers in the morning.. of course they can go back by public transport lah.. there are buses in the night before their midnight shift starts and in the morning after their midnight shift ended..

An employee.

He takes the employee bus which is supposed to pick up the drivers who drives the employee bus which picks up the 1st shift drivers.

How does he return home?
Refer to the above. Same theory....

Usually,The bus company will recruit relief drivers with OWN transport to drive the employee buses and in between after sending the drivers home,They will return back to depot for side jobs such as assisting the night shift technicians to drive buses selected for maintenance or refuelling before resuming back to pick up the morning shift drivers.This is far as i know due to some info provided by some bus captains friend.Don't blame me if its not true!

I suppose most of the bus drivers do own their bikes, so definitely the first shift bus drivers ride their bikes to the various bus depots to get their assigned buses for the day.

I'm sure some of you all are also curious about how do the bus drivers get home after work Smile Some of them get home by employee buses, bikes and stuffs. But during the afternoon changing shift period, I suppose the morning shift drivers have their fellow afternoon shift colleagues to drive their bikes to the interchanges for them Wink It should be so, because I've got bus driver friends whom I asked them before Smile
