LazerLordz SG 700-reason being its a quick way of getting to town and Suntec on weekends.Basically, i wish they would put more Bendys on the weekends.. 171-To camp. 169-To camp. 970-Hated it..especially the long drive thru alexandra, lower delta..
The_Bus_Guide SG Yes, that's right. Sv. 188 was also introduced in 1988 but a couple of months earlier than 99. It ran between Jurong Interchange and Jurong West St 91. The last of the Merc O306 buses were used on this service. When the O306 retired, NZMB Merc OF1417 were the main buses. When Jurong Interchange was demolished in 1990, sv. 188 ended at Jurong Bus Park (recently demolished), which was just beside the old interchange. Sv. 188 was one of the first to have validators installed. I recalled that a minister took sv. 188 from Lakeside Station at the official launch of the farecard system. Sv. 188 was finally withdrawn in 1992 due to poor demand.
SBS9816E SG My favourite svcs.... 105 - Cool Mk 4 DM 3500 and the recently added B10BLE CNG made the fleet look cool! Also, taking it and speeding along roads like Boon Lay Way and PIE would really be thrilling too! 133 - From the stage of Atlanteans, to the recent fleet of O.405, LO 3 Axle, and now the VSO, it has been my all-time favourite. Also, it takes me to places like Bras Basah Complex and Suntec City! 70 - Taking either LO 3 Axle or VSO would give you an overview of TIBS and SBST depots. Definitiely enjoyable, although it's a very very short sighting of at most 1.5 mins. 853 - Cool MB O.405 just whiz through places within mins. However, I don't like the off-peak freq. 147 - The preferred service over MRT. Sometimes it could just take 25 mins to travel b/w Serangoon and Little India. Also, I can save up a few cents from my EZ-Link.
Smiley Volgren SG This is interesting... My favourite service is Tibs Svc 184A. It is very special to me as this bendy bus goes into Ngee Ann Polytechnic campus. The drama of Svc 184A wowed me with 90 angle bending! And even can be able to turn right to the bus bay where Svc 74A parked outside Blk 73. Cool... However, Service 184A is gone after 17 March 2003
off_service SG That flyover took years to built with huge sum spent on it. But then, I don't see it help ease traffic in anyway. That part of Bt Timah is still having the same old jam.
SBS9818A SG This is Singapore what. Government love to waste taxpayer money on all sorts of pointless infrastructure. Like the flyover at Bt. Timah, and Braddell.
Smiley Volgren SG Darryl, of course... Will be nice if Svc 184A ply along the flyover before stopping at the bus-stop just like what Svc 74A did although both of them did not go into Ngee Ann Polytechnic campus. However, they deployed 12 bendy buses on Svc 184 during morning peak hour and the time interval is every 4 minutes. Much better than 2001 which time interval of 184 is usually 6 ~ 8 minutes. During off peak period, there were only 9 bendy buses. I hope Svc 184A will come back Only way....bomb the fence and allow Svc 184A into Np campus!
TIB822C SG Hey there everyone!~ Personally, my favourite bus services are as follows: Service 32, 65, 700 and 970... Service 970 - Cheers!~ Though it is bit lengthy, it provides a direct link to Great World City straight from my house (don't ask me where ) and from my house straight to Outram Park MRT and Chinatown and also from Commonwealth MRT station to Block 12 and Sixth Avenue. And of course... Bukit Panjang Community Library!~ Service 700A - Cheers!~ It serves Orchard Road and Suntec City, both of where I love to go to!~ Service 32 - Cheers!~ It goes from my house to Redhill Station and of course, Queenstown and Bedok Community Library!~ Service 65 - Cheers!~ It can get me to Harbourfront Centre and Orchard Road from my house!~ I'll post here if I can think of more Cheers!~
foxtrot1985 SG yup, me likes 989 too… too bad it was removed…23 is another of my favourite… connects macpherson with tampines in about 20-25 minutes via the pie
TIB1186Z SG For me, its definitely 969,858,965.... great time savers!! and svc 39, a bit long, but it has my fave "mk5" with friendly drivers who can really drive a Mk 3
off_service SG "MK5" is a nick name from some of us for Volvo MK4 DM3500. MK4 DM3500 is simply too long and like me, mistaken it last time, so just called it "MK5".
iamgoondu SG SBST 200. The long and windy road along South Bouna Vista provides a wonderful experiece. Besides most part of the journey are very green, like North Buona Vista, South Buona Vista and Pasir Panjang Road. I shall miss it if SBST decide to withdraw it when CCL started.
iamgoondu SG I would like TIBS 106 too, it provides a direct connection between HV and Orchard Rd, City Hall and Suntec. If traffic is light, the journey may take just under 15minutes to Taka. However the long waiting times at times, and the sardine packed carriage counter the convenience. Imagine assign a single carriage bus at 2100h (travelling at ORchard Boulevard at 2100h on Chingay Rehearsal night), the bus was bursted and commuters have to pack like sardine. TIBS might want to look into better bus deployment for TIBS 106.
