Changes in bus transport in 2004 , what do you hope for ?

Airbus330Captain SG

NEL to be taken over by SMRT and SBST to reinstate some services like 85 …etc

off_service SG

Lift of the "2-1" territorial rule and more inter-town trunk services from Tibs to SBST areas...

More new buses..

Of course, bridge linking Woodlands Ave 7 and Sembawang Way to complete.

ditzy SG

bus services 502, 111 and 82 go back to their usual service routes, thats all i hope for.

Either proper competition between SMRT and SBS, or total state control over the two entities. A mid-way state such as this is frustrating and inconveniences the end user, while enriching these companies’ coffers, which is not acceptable.

SBS9818A SG

Correct. I’d rather have bloated inefficient state-run companies than see them benefit at the expense of commuters. If they want to compete, do it properly than only IN NAME.

More volgern bendies / VSOs for their respective operators!

LTA to lift the speed restriction on buses to 80 or 90kmh.

More expressway services!

Svc 804 to get a bendy asap. Wink

off_service SG

It seems that Volgren bodies are expensive. There's less than 90 in Singapore (lazy to count.. hahaha!!)

I don't think LTA will lift the restrictions for the "safety" of all. However, I think 70 - 80 km/h is reasonable.

carbikebus SG

More 14.5m longbuses, dennis trident & volvo vso dd's,scania L94,
volvo ble for sbst.
More habits, volgrens artic's,hino, dennis & mb volgrens for tibs.

Hope too see more enviro, wright & habit/orbit's bodies on these 2 public buses.not all, just some only.

Lastly,to see all the long distances svs(ie;51 & 61)ply the expressways. Wink

Agreed with off_service lim,70-80 km/h is just nice for buses to travel in the expressways. Cool

But for B10M Mk IIIs exceptions can be made, their age limit to be put to 12 so they get scrapped off early. Mr. Green
