Additional train runs from ALJ to QUE

^tamago^ SG

about 4 additional train runs on the EWL have been placed todae to ease crowds going for the opening of the Lunar New Year Street Bazaar.. outram park EWL platforms were packed, and so were CNT and OTP NEL platforms.. the trains uses duty codes 04X.. some of them have a shorter trip from Aljunied to Outram Park only..

it is expected that these additional train runs will be back on Chinese New Yr's Eve..

Good insight. Smile What's the use of these train runs when passengers still need to wait for the next train at QUE or ALJ? might as well put addtiional train runs from PSR to BNL

Was at City Hall today, the Station Master annouced the train will end at Aljunied. Is this the shuttle train?

^tamago^ SG

tat shuttle is the one we are talking about..

actually the idea is to relieve load between Outram Park and City Hall section bah.. they might as well put jus 2 trains running between Outram Park and Bugis since these 2 stations have overrun tunnels..

and i wonder why it is still crowded at OTP when ppl can transfer to NSL at DBG since actually at ALJ although the whole train pax alight to wait for next train, the train was not too packed n everyone has a seat...

How do you know DBG wasn't as crowded and most of the people at OTP were not going west towards Jurong East?

^tamago^ SG

logically ppl going NSL shld transfer at DBG and not squeeze with EWL ppl at OTP so i was wondering why trains were not as crowded when by ALJ the sub train had normal pax load so most ppl shld have alighted by Bugis.. the OTP is crowded on both EB and WB platforms, but why the crowd is on EB platform and half don't end up travelling beyond ALJ amazes me..
