Change in Font

i noticed some buses have different (new?) fonts on their display.....like 82.......107........(i was at kovan when i observed these)

These buses with new fonts are those with route amendments after SBS becomes SBS Transit. The fonts used are similar to those of the "SBS Transit" logo.

Many other services are using these fonts. Services 143, 179 just to name a few. If you are at Ang Mo Kio, most of the feeder side plates are using new fonts.

a bit “comic sans” leh….....for a bus….............

This unique font will tell everyone "Oh this is a SBST bus". You're not the only one with this feeling. My brother once asked me why the new font looks so "cartoon".

The new fonts looks nice on numbers like "107", "143", "174", "179" and some other services. I must admit the number "82" in new fonts look ugly.

Sv. 82 indeed looks ugly. They amended the services, what for change desto plates (for Sv. 107 and Sv. 82). They got too much money for certain services.

JIS plates are printed in old font, don't know why.

I like this font too. I think it is a great idea to choose this font.

jus feel tt it's not a "serious" font for bus lumber displays........

think i need to get used to it cos i see more and more of such buses these days........those plying north-east area..........

Sv. 103W, Sv. 82, Sv. 107, etc etc, the list goes on.
