Haha, CAC N113CRBs are renowned for having very strong a/c. Can't say the same for the OAC ones though.

i find that the aircon in most of the tibs bus is not cold enough especially in scania elbo and dennis lance 211.what are ur views and comments?

The bus can be very warm in the day time but sometimes it's ok. As the aircon uses power from the bus' engine, therefore, when the bus accelerates (thus draw more power from aircon), the aircon gets weak and bus become warm.

Actually the specs of this bus is also Lance 245. For this, I can't explain why the aircon is like that. Front can be artic, rear can be piping hot.

All buses in Singapore suffer from poor a/c systems. It can't be helped, because the operators ARE NOT INTERESTED in doing checks on their a/c units!

heres a naughty thing to do..if u find the bus too cold...and the bus is a CAC merc (lol) u cd try opening the windows...i done it before on TIB758..so cold i fed up open the window.

tokin abt air con…some drivers…i really wonder if they use their brains…nt to insult dem but i’m nt very hapi abt dis which is y they turn the air con full blast durin a rainy day…when it has been raining almost non stop n its freakin cold…n u can c almost everyone tryin to wrap arund demselves wif wadever they hv…

on certain buses the air-con outlet near you can be adjusted if u find the bus too cold.. from wat i can recall they are MK4 Alexander & DM (slider in ‘closer’ position means close, ‘further’ position means open) and Dennis Lance 211 (turn centre of controller clockwise to close, counter-clockwise to open?)..

I do not think those TIBS buses have poor airconditioning. I found TIBS buses are cooler, more comfortable and the air are fresher. I enjoy riding on TIBS buses, especially long -bendy buses.

If SBST 7, 111 and TIBS 106, 77 reported at same bus-stop at the same time, I will not hesitate to board TIBS 106 or 77. As I said, I enjoy the cooler air, longer leg space and shorter travelling time.

Jus to add one more bus model whose air con can be controlled via centre knob: Mercedes O405 Hispano Smiley Bus (TIB949-TIB972?)..

Also, TIBS buses have air fresheners installed that 'squirt' at times to give the bus a pleasant smell, unless if u're sitting next to it of 'cos.. it is this white boxy thingy with a red numberal LCD in front (it may be off) of it.. for Mercedes O405 it's usually found next to the rear door, Dennis Lance 211 at the panel jus behind the driver at the top..

Oh that "freshener" which never fails to make me want to vomit, huh? Those regos listed aren't Hispanos, but are Volgren-bodied. And TIB947 - TIB957 are Hino HS3s, while TIB958 - TIB972 are O405s.
