With effect from Sunday, 7 Dec 2003, Service 82 will be amended to operate between Serangoon interchange and Punggol Rd End, and will be diverted to serve Punggol MRT station enroute.

With effect from Sunday, 7 Dec 2003, Service 103 will be amended to operate between Serangoon interchange and Seletar Camp (loop). Services 378 and 379 will be withdrawn on the same day.

Another half-assed attempt to serve Punggol residents better at the expense of others. Wait, isn’t Punggol Interchange still under construction? So the Sv. 62 buses will park at the MRT station, like Sv. 3 currently, I suppose?

As stated in the poster, service 62 will operate from the new Punggol interchange, so I think the interchange is ready for use.

Beside service 3, service 136 also stop for a while at Punggol MRT station. (Service 83 does not)

So that leaves 147 as the only alternative to the NEL from Boon Keng to Serangoon… They’d better increase the frequency of this bus then. And 107 from Potong Pasir to Serangoon whose frequency is 8 minutes when peak.

By the way, is this the final phase of the Network Rationalisation? (apart from any bus service route changes due to shutting down of Hougang South interchange)

I am surprised and disappointed with this move , ohh well NEL again . Anyway , i wonder whether there will be a change of depots for some of these services like 82 , 62 and 107. Let’s find out . Better catch Trident on 82 !!!

I predict that service 82 will become a single-deck-only service as most of the load will go over to service 107.

Service 82 duplicates service 107 from Serangoon MRT to Hougang Ave 10, then duplicates services 80 and 89 to Sengkang. With these alternatives, I doubt the double deckers on service 82 will stay unless SBST want to waste resources.

Not yet. The interchange is still heavily under construction, when I went there early November there still wasn't a basic structure. Sv. 136, on the contrary, DOES NOT stop at Punggol MRT station for a 5 min break.

So you mean that the information on service 62 poster is a mistake? (The poster states that the service will operate from Punggol temporary interchange which is beside Punggol MRT station)

Yah, in the near future. Remember SBST love to manipulate facts for their own interests. Look at how close Sv. 62 route is to NEL stations on the poster, when in effect, the reverse is true!

For once, passengers to Selatar Airport (West Camp) and East Camp can get the comfort of AC buses.

Service 147 will have a better frequency wef 7 Dec 2003. From the usual 10 mins, it will become 4-8 minutes, back to its pre-NEL frequency.

Will service 107 gets ADD once it is being under the eastern district wef 30 Nov 2003?

and whats with the 62 anyway. why bother to cut it back to geylang lor 1... SBSt is very funny.

and do they ever have a brain. why not just admend 82 onto 107's route and withdrawn 107 instead of keeping 82 and 107 together around. SBSt very toopid

They like that one what. They'd rather have two services duplicating each other from Upp Serangoon Rd - HG Central, than one service to cover all the route. If they like it they will do it.

Possible, since majority of service 82 load will go over to service 107. But we have to wait and see the load ourselves.

Will service 107 be controlled by Hougang depot? If it is, Tridents may be deployed if the demand is high.

Expect all the double deckers on service 82 to be removed. (ie. single-deckers-only)

Yes, service 82 after Serangoon MRT station, should ply service 107 route to Shenton Way while the latter gets withdrawn.

Expect Mercedes O405s and Scania N113CRBs. The control of service 82 will most probably move to AMKDEP.

In other words: Inconvenience Sengkang and Punggol residents.

While Hougang residents have service 147 to NEL stations and service 107 plying most of service 82 former route, Sengkang and Punggol residents didn't have.
