tranquilice SG The new interchange will open on Sunday 30 Nov from 9.30 am. Services 3, 62, 83, 84 and 136 will use the interchange. http://www.sbstransit.com.sg/whatsnew_30november2003b.asp
SBS9818A SG Like I told you, Sv. 3 will terminate at the new interchange once it's complete. Don't believe right?
tranquilice SG Most of the time, I believe the official announcement. Yes, I speculate that service 3 will terminate there else it will be a long loop service. But as we all know, sometime things we expected don't turn out to be.
alantanchunshyan SG i think sbstransit will probably introduce new service soon operating from punggol inetrchange.tibs maybe also introduce a bus from woodlands or yishun to punggol interchange because i heard there is few bus from punggol to the north like yishun, sembawang and woodlands.
SBS9818A SG Depends lah. Unless they amend Sv. 161 to specially ply that area then there would be no link to WDL. Sv. 969 can't possibly come in and ply Punggol also what. They have only 4 berths, how many new services can they possibly introduce?
foxtrot1985 SG Yeah… It’s only a temporary interchange… New services more likely introduced when the permanent interchange opens with more berths…
tranquilice SG There is one empty berth in the temporary interchange, 1 or 2 services can be introduced or amended to there.
foxtrot1985 SG Yeah, but unlikely TIBS would be able to use the available berth right until the new permanent one is built…
SBS9818A SG SBST, I think, feels its more than enough for 7 services at Punggol. Hell, that's even more than what Eunos or Bishan gets!
foxtrot1985 SG But then again, Some buses pass Bishan and Eunos enroute to other interchanges (e.g. 13, 88, 156 for BIshan) while Punggol is at the north-eastern end already... So I don't think it's a fair comparison this way... Should also include the buses that pass by the area and not just stop at the interchange...
SBS9818A SG Sv. 3, Sv. 62 Sv. 82, Sv. 83, Sv. 84, Sv. 136 OK, I must have mistyped then. 6 services is more than enough for such a small, relatively underdeveloped area.
foxtrot1985 SG Yeah, hopefully to Sengkang or Punggol so that there is at least some link to Bt Merah from these 2 areas…
