Services 62 and 111 should merge

I suggest that service 62 which plys between Punggol and Lor 1 Geylang, and service 111 which plys between Ghim Moh and Marina Centre, should be merged into one service Punggol - Ghim Moh.

This new service will provide new link between the NorthEast and the West.

Route is via service 62 route to Geylang Rd, then continue with service 7 route to Stamford Rd, then follow by service 111 route to Ghim Moh.

I know the new service route is long, but it's better than to see service 111 going nowhere but Marina Centre.

Correct. Take the North-East Line which we spent billions on and have yet to make a single cent.

In this case, it will not be NEL. The proposed service serve most of the East-West line stations (ie. Aljunied to City Hall, Queenstown to Buona Vista)

In any case I think they won't be bothered. They'd rather people take SMRT's rail network then forced onto the NEL.
