Services 68 and 401

The 3 months trial periods for service 68 and 3 months trial periods on Saturdays on service 401 have ended in September.

So, 5 months have passed, service 68 is still in service, service 401 still operates on Saturdays.

The question is: Do the 2 trial periods really ended? or SBST secretly extended the trial periods for few more months for more observation?

I've been thinking the same too.

I think Service 401 would be retain as it is right now. As for Service 68, there are times the loads were very satisfactory and there are times when you just think SBST should end the service very soon. So it's hard to say.

Yes, I also felt that service 401 will remain unchanged.

Sv. 68 is CURRENTLY a peak hour service. Sv. 68 loads are quite healthy during evening peak. Sv. 401 I'm not too sure. However I think the trial periods have gone without any major decision so I assume these services are to be retained.

As I said before, there are times when the loads, like you said, are quite healthy and justifiable. For instance this morning, I saw SBS700P with >80% seats filled. Just last Monday, at about the same time, SBS700P only carried less than half of that of today's loads.

My mistake, service 68 is a peak hour service.

I visited Ind Park A today during the evening peak, and observed that majority of the workers there walk to Tampines Ave 1 (near SAFRA) for bus service instead of taking service 68.

700P at around 5.15pm today departing the Ind Park is less than half full.
