TIBS fleet changes

With the recent TIBS reshuffling due to NEL, it might be useful to track what are the fleet movements and changes noticed so far. I start off here. The list will grow as and when I notice them.

From AMKDEP to WDLDEP

Interesting. 537B and 539X (both were ex sv 169 buses) were seen on sv 989 before the amendment.

TIB 817 T seems to be a permanent 851 bus now. TIB 583 S is also newly permanent on service 855.

KJDEP to WDLDEP
===============
TIB 426 M (spotted on 857 today)

The unique ex-189 TIB 426 M is now in WDLDEP. This bus has been bounced around the various depots since it was procured.

It seems like service 189 buses are being ripped up to go all sorts of places. E.g. the Hino Volgrens went to 985, TIB426M went to WDLDEP etc.

My guess is that service 189 received all the ex-185 DAF's. I do not stay anywhere near to 189 route so I cannot confirm my guess. Can anyone confirm my guess for me?

Now both TIBS and SBST are going crazy shuffling buses around the island. Sv. 189 may be getting DAFs, wonder why Sv. 985 didn't get DAFs? Or do TIBS deem them too insipid to be put on highways? Mr. Green

Today I was on TIB 720 M on sv 852. The bus has service 985's service guides.

Hmmmmm... TIB426M ? I think it previously belonged to WDLDEP before being transferred to KJDEP and back to WDLDEP again Razz Yesterday saw it on Service 187 Razz

TIB 426 M went all over the place. First on 854 at AMKDEP. I witnessed the first two O405's roll into AMKDEP with no license plates during their delivery ride while I was working there. They were numbered TIB 0000 W until a few weeks later they joined 854 with proper regos.

Later more O405's came and they went to KJDEP, then subsequently to WDLDEP, then see saw to KJDEP and back to WDLDEP again now.

Today's Update:

KJDEP to AMKDEP

TIB 1065 P (Permanent on 854)

TIB 817 T changed skin from "No Smint No Kiss" to "PhoenixCall 1516". It looks virtually identical to TIB 813 D now.

TIB 973 A and TIB 1096 A on 851 today.. I have a feeling that these and all ex-61 and ex-106 bendies would be settled down into service 804 once the bendy U-turn at Yishun Ave 1 completes.

Also overheard from a 106 driver telling his friend on the bus that even the current 106 route is temporary and either 106 or 77 may be totally cut or merged. Also said that Marina Square area is too crowded with 7 TIBS services going in, the number would be reduced.

Yes, the Sv. 106 thing is obviously temporary, it will be merged with Sv. 77 most likely, but during the next phase of rationalizations. Expect more cuts.

I think that the current route of services 97, 106, 111 and 502 are temporary. These services will have a more reasonable route in the near future.

As I expect, services 97 and Express 507 may merge. And services 77 and 106 may merge.

Is 989E a permanent bus on service 190? 2 months ago it was on service 176.

I think TIB 989 E is a free agent in KJDEP. I see much more of TIB 988 H than 989 E on 190.

989E is on service 176 for a long time. Yesterday I saw it on service 190 in Chinatown.

Yes on and off it appears on 190. But it is not regular. And it is quite a known fact that 190 at New Bridge Road draws buses from 176 at Bt Merah during evening peak hours.

I guess so. I had seen TIB426M on Services in Yishun with that weird rounded, especially brown-tinted window for a very long time until recently. It was always on service 856, at least until 1999 where it had a full Bendy fleet

Yes it had. All the way. In fact it was the only distinguishable feature between the two prototype buses when they first arrived at AMKDEP in CBU state (later to become known as 425R and 426M). Before the buses got their proper regos the depot guys referred to the first prototype as the "square one" and the second prototype the "round one" due to the shape of the rear windscreen.

Oh I see. Why was there even a curved-edge windscreen for CBU O405 #2 (426M)?
