I think that the current route of services 97, 106, 111 and 502 are temporary. These services will have a more reasonable route in the near future. As I exp...

Saw TIB 1065P on service 180 today.
TIB 1065P was an ex bus operating on service 960, but how come it is on service 180 which is controlled by Kranji Depot?

Confused

AntiDennisLance SG

1065 P had been a free agent for sometime. It seems like it had just been transferred to Kranji Depot. Just a week ago it was still in Ang Mo Kio Depot serving service 854.

Tracing its footsteps, this is the journey it made in chronological order:

WDLDEP - on 960/184
KJDEP - on 190/61/106
AMKDEP - on 854
KJDEP (again) - on 180

AntiDennisLance SG

Today (Tues 26th Aug 2003)

TIB 1113 J back on svc 851
More O405's on 167 (TIB 826 S)
Some ex-851 CAC's spotted on 171 (e.g. TIB 778 Y)
ex-106 Bendies continued to be spotted on 851
No signs of 851's TIB976S and TIB1112L - anyone saw them this week?

SBS9818A SG

TIB 974Y is a Sv. 67 bus, isn't it? 1208U is from Sv. 190, right? Yes, Sv. 520 withdrawal has benefitted a lot of Yishun services.

Rachel_Lim SG

I dont know when it had happened, but I know that TIB432U is confirmed to be back in WDLDEP, because it was seen on Service 961 while I was on my way to school Very Happy Wink

TIB1186Z SG

TIB1112 is spotted outside Yishun Interchange yesterday at about 1320.

TIB769 is currently perm on service 855. This bus is the only CAC that also has its doors "converted" to that used in the LAnce 245s ( the black ones )

TIB1124C back on svc 806 yesterday.

Service 969 load from Yishun to Tampines dropped. Normally there are pax standing, but there were empty seats today when entering Tampines. The frequency is constant at about 8 mins, and there were 2 Volgren Bendies on 969 today ( normal ). On the other hand, as I said in another post, the load of svc 39 improved significantly.

AntiDennisLance SG

I saw TIB1112L on svc 851 yesterday and today.

TIB769Z seems to be perm on 851 instead of 855, though I wont mind giving it up for another bendy. The driver for TIB769Z on 851 is an old bespectacled man with a hunchback.

And TIB769Z's doors are not Lance's DM doors. They are original Hispano doors simply just painted over with black paint. TIB769Z already had its all-black doors from day one since its early Woodlands service 911/912/913 days way before TIBS bought any DM Lances or had anything to do with DM or Dennis.

Yes 969 load has decreased and 39 load increased. The best situation would be that no one has to stand on any of these two services even on peak hours. That is what I call quality bus service.

SBS9818A SG

SBST and TIBS, for some apparent reason, LOVE to paint their bus doors.

Another bus back in WDLDEP from KJDEP Very Happy

TIB435L was seen deployed on Service 961 today... Smile

Eh? If it is like this.... What buses are currently deployed on Service 177 now ? Smile

Windy_hates_B10TLs SG

Yes, the OF1417's had a very suitable exhaust brake bellow. They didn't sound breathless like the 1312's or the 1413's, although a 1418 and 1316 also sound pretty asthmatic. I dread having rides on those thing here in Sydney or in Melbourne. Weren't the buses leased from CSS to cover for the bus shortage Hino AK's?

AntiDennisLance, add me to msn as well, willya? [email protected] and [email protected]

AntiDennisLance SG

The OF1417's were leased from SBS. The Hino 177's were "leased" from CSS/SSB.

Yes the early mercedes buses were simply horrible. I could hardly hear myself shout amid the howl of the early merc engines especially the LP1113's. The OF1417 was the first acceptable mercedes bus.

Have added you. Though I will be online in MSN usually only at home.

Managed to spot only 2 SBST double deckers on September 11th Confused

SBS9679 on Service 80
SBS9690 on Service 165

Eh? Even Service 165 have Tridents ?!

SBS9818A SG

Yes, 9689E and 9690A are now perm on Sv. 165, I saw the sticker.

Finally, i'm back to sgforums since i visited this site last April. Oh, Mr.Anti-Dennis Lance, what a funny nickname you got!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If i'm not wrong, i think i know you! A friend of benz? =X

Update: Kranji Depot will take over the full fleet of Service 184 from Woodlands Depot in a few months' time. Be prepared to see Hino or DAF on Service 184 in future. If you spot DAF bus on 184, remember to shoot this bus for me. Thanks! Rolling Eyes

SBS9818A SG

Why ah? This is bad, Sv. 184 will no longer have Volgren-bodied O405Gs.. Eeek. DAFs on Sv. 184..

Smiley Volgren SG

Well, i don't like both DAF and Dennis Lance on Svc 184!

SBS9818A SG

KJDEP has about less than five Lances, I would think.

Smiley Volgren SG

I will be happy if Dennis Lance is deployed on Tibs 175. A rare opportunity to ride all the way to LCK in this bus model! Cool

TIB1186Z SG

It would be a definitely interesting to take a Lance that express all the way to the end of Lim Chu Kang road on a 2 lane road, but i hope it would not be perm, cos the engine would tend to heat up over such a distance and the rolling hills and the road may make the LAnce vibrate quite a bit. Moreover, Lances are more of the citybus type, and may prove rather unsuitable for country roads like this.

SBS9816E SG

Eh?! Since when KJ acquired Lances? I didn’t know that! I know that KJDEP is full of MB O.405, O.405G, DAF and Hino HS3KRKA. Unless TIBS demanded AMKDEP to transfer Lances to KJDEP…
