Following is a detail of the new service 985 that is extracted
from a forum:
From 27 July 2003, services 185 and 989 will be integrated into one
service, known as service 985. This might be the first in a series
of TIBS and SMRT bus route rationalisation exercises we have been
speculating about.
The new service 985 will ply from Choa Chu Kang Interchange to Teck
Whye Ave, follow the route of service 185 to Jalan Jurong Kechil,
then it will go onto the PIE till Jalan Toa Payoh, where it will
exit to Bendemeer Road, turn into Boon Keng Road and terminate at
Geylang Lorong 1.
