Regarding this matter, everyone knows I have a dislike for B10M Mk IIIs, but do I go around slamming it, saying this and that is not good, etc? No! Can you please live and let live?

Furthermore, without the 3-axle LO, would you have your favourite 96xx VOs on Sv. 166? No! Instead you'd be having B10MDs, etc! So you should be grateful that the 3-axle LO was in existence to give you the 3-axle VO, since it only became a VO after Volvo bought the Leyland brand name!

We have the right to compare and voice our opinion. You can go ahead and make your views known, that you like your LO 3 axles. So I have to borrow a phrase from you, "Can you please live and let live?".

Some services started off with VO 3 axles. Some services are still using LO 3 axles till today. So it is the way SBST sees things and it's not the existance of LO 3 axles on service 166 that paves way for the VO 3 axles.

I find that you always pick on my opinions, be it on LO 3 axles or Dennis Lance 211s or whatever.

And just to make sure you did not pick on the wrong person, my favourite is not VO 3 axles, it's VSO.

OK. Without your 3-axle LO would there be the existence of your favourite VSO? NO! So you should be crediting the LO for the existence of the VSO. Otherwise we'd be all taking B7TLs and what-not.

Actually, there are some LO 3 Axles that are in good conditions. One of them is SBS 9181 C, on Sv 55. Its condition is still in tip top condition.

In fact, HK's Volvo Olympian 3 Axle have Cummins LT10 engine. Besides that, Volvo improved the technology of building the Olympian chassis.

I don't think that SBST would buy in B7TL unless they would want something similiar to the VO 2 Axle. Looking at the size of the B7TL, it couldn't even fit in a 500KG air-conditioning system of a double decker bus. It still needs an additional axles at the back to support the weight of the air-conditioning system, which becomes B10TL in the end.

I beg to differ something. Double decker buses do have heavy steering as the weight have the bus is really heavy. As a result, drivers tend to use 2 hands to steer the steering wheel. In fact, from many mouths of the SBS Transit drivers, they find that Volvo Double Deck buses steering are much lighter as the Leyland Olympian 3 Axle.

Why on earth would Volvo buy over the Cummins engine and put it in their production buses? They'd rather throw in a TD102KF or a DH10, mind you.

But Volvo steering is horrible! Bus drivers turn and turn and turn just to get the same angle of turn as an O405 driver who can do it in what, two flicks of the hand!

All 3-axle LOs ARE in good condition. At least they still work unlike certain VSOs(SBS 9800A, SBS 9840J).

If the steering of a double deck is so light, the bus might get just too dangerous to handle properly. IMO, The steering of Volvo double deck is just right for a double deck.

The steering for Volvos are fine, but the steering of LO 3 axles are far too heavy. That's what many drivers said and they preferred Volvos double decks over LO 3 axles.

But safety comes with a price. Have you even seen a LO crashing? By contrast VOs have crashed.
