Bus Number 29 in Tampines

anybody staying near changi ? i think it is very inconvenient for me and maybe for others staying near there.. there is only one bus going to the place i stay, and now they made the route(that the bus travelled) longer. and sometimes we have to wait very long maybe 15 minutes for that bus 29 ! Cant they place more buses coming to Changi? 1st time posting in this forum.. hope u all understand what i say Smile

I don't live in Changi, but I go there often.

Currently, there are many services to the Changi Village/Changi Point area, numberly 2, 9, 19, 29 and 89. I think 5 bus services are enough for this area.

The introduction of services 3, 38 and the diversion of services 28, 29 are results of Tampines residents' feedback to their MP to request for changes to the services.

Hello.

I guess you are living somewhere along Old Tampines Road. SBS Transit operates service 29 at a headway of 15 minutes as the ridership would not be enough to cover the cost of operation if the headway is shorter. Most importantly is that low ridership with fast headways would only waste resources. Unless the demand for the service around your area increase or if there's any changes to the route of service 29, the 15 minute headway will be here to stay and no new services will be introduced. MPs for Changi Village area has urged bus companies to operate more buses to Changi Village, but even if so, they might not be passing through your area.

Perhaps you can feedback to SBS Transit at SBS Transit feedback page, call them or write in to them.

Well well well if your complaining then i guess you're staying along the same 4-5 bus stops that have been quite widely affected by this change.Well i agree to it's a waste of my time by adding 10mins more travelling time and 20cents more per trip! or 40cents everytime i go out and come back.I really hate the new route but i doubt there is anything i can say to that bus company which has practically no competition.

I often take bus 29 and i agree with the bus frequency . I think SBST is short of buses now and once NE line opens , they might free more buses for bus 29 (Good buses please ) .
