Suggestion to services 143 and 285

Currently, the route of service 143 in Pandan Gdns and Teban Gdns is very "stupid".

I suggest that:-

Service 143 to skip both Teban Gdns Rd and Pandan Gdns, it will via West Coast Highway, West Coast Rd, Jurong Town Hall Rd and continues its way to Jurong East Interchange. Alternate services are 51 in Pandan Gdns and 78, 79 in Teban Gdns.

Service 285 to be extended to Pandan Gdns and Teban Gdns, in this case, the service may be converted to a trunk service. It will via Pandan Loop, branch of Pandan Loop, Pandan Loop, left into West Coast Rd, right into Pandan Gdns, left into Jurong Town Hall Rd, right into Teban Gdns Rd, left into West Coast Rd, left into Jurong Town Hall Rd and back. The branch of Pandan Loop will now be 2-directional, with service plate to indicate the direction.

I think that SBS bus routes are very circuitous and sucky, esp the newer routes. Look at 188. They seem to want more $$ by going circuitous routes. According to a report in PTC magazine, SBS has more services with too long and circuitous routes. BTW for Tibs, Express 570 was rejected bcos it “duplicates exsiting routes of express services”. Any info on 570?

i 143 shoudl be left as it is. in fact 143 links many residents there to JE and around west coast admending the service will cause an uproar.

also 143 still serves near the old jurong depot. and should stay that way. meanwhile 51 SHOULD be admended to serve its oriignal straighter route.

Alternative services are 51, 78 and 79 to Jurong East. The suggested service 285 will link passengers of the two estates to West Coast.

Service 51 serving Pandan Gdns is ok. The original straighter route is instead served by suggested service 143.

Where is the circuitous part of service 188?

No, I don't know about Express 570.

Bukit Batok area... I think CCK residents won't like to take 188 to Habourfront. Don't think it's quite convenient for Bt Batok residents to get to town? I'm so lucky to live in Bukit Panjang, where there's less than 5 stops to expressway on service 190,700, 960, 171, 187, 963

You mean the circuitous part is Bukit Batok West Ave 6? Or West Ave 4? Don't think it's too circuitous, services 185, 187 and 989 ply almost the same pattern in the town.

but there are alternate services.. i can take 180 to jurong point instead of 187, whereas routes of sbs are ALL (exaggerating) circuitous
