Transfer Stops along the Expressways

New bus stops can be set up along some expressways which do not have any bus stops, purpose as a transfering point. Some examples:-

1. A pair of new stops along the ECP between Fort Rd (Tanjong Rhu Flyover) and Benjamin Sheares Bridge, for passengers of services 30, 36 & 518 to transfer to one of the other services. (Eg. Board service 30 at HarbourFront, alight at this stop, transfer to service 36 to Changi Airport)

2. A pair of new stops along the TPE between Pasir Ris Dr 12/Tampines Ave 10 (Api Api Flyover) and Tampines Rd (Halus Flyover), for passengers of 53, 81, 168, 858 & 969 to transfer to one of the other services. (Eg. Board service 858 or 969 at Yishun, alight at this stop, transfer to service 53 or 81 to Pasir Ris)

No need for any estate nearby, since the stops are there for TRANSFER purpose only.

Good idea, why not suggesting to LTA? But for the ECP (Fort Road) stops, I don't think it's possible now, since that stretch of road is now under diversion due to the construction of the ECP/KPE tunnel-interchange.

Should be .. All the road works are done by LTA, unless you tell me it's the BCA, but the latter is highly unlikely.

I like the transfer stops, now the fastest way for me to get from Pasir Ris to Yishun is 15 to Tampines then 969 to Yishun

Yes it is. Don't tell me it's PWD, which is non-existent now or PTC, which I think it's highly unlikely. If you notice some warning signs at bus stops, they read "Anyone In Breach of This Shelter Will Be Referred To The Police - By LTA" or "All Notices Pasted At This Shelter Without Prior Permission From LTA WIll Be Referred To The Police".

Thank for the replies. But in this case, I think LTA has to build overhead bridge or underpass (if there aren't any) for passengers who wish to cross the road for transfer. Building additional stops plus cross-the-road facilities will cost a lot of money. I think LTA may have to conduct a survey first to estimate how many passengers are using the bus stops.

for me it would be best if some bus stop is added along the slip rd to TPE at punggol and sengkang town edges. passengers cna then board 27, 88, 89, 969, 858 at these bus stops on the flyover at punggol rd.

confirm many ppl at punggol filed and snegknag edge will fidn the bus stop nice. the problem now is SPACE

These bus stops can instead be located along the TPE near the LRT viaduct.
