TIBS: No immediate plans to buy new buses

Perhaps they are giving up bus services at certain areas to SBS since they are getting rid of those buses mention and no plans on introducing new buses to replace them .

It does make sense, remember TIBS and CSS going to merge? then the CSS services would be withdrawn or being made a peak service.
Well, another probability is that they may progreesively lengthen the freq. for some services. Anyway, its going to take quite a time to sell of so many buses, right?

I was thinking, CSS U31RCNs get transferred to TIBS, Lances get sold off, together with the L113CRLs and voila! CSS is closed.

If 49 Lances are for sale, I guess they are TIB906 - 946, the 7 PA Lance 245, plus the unregistered one inside Woodlands Depot. Which means to sale CSS310U is not on the list. So it will get transfered to Tibs and eventually become the only Lance in Tibs?

Quite interesting to see converted ac U31RCNs with Tibs! Really reminds me of the U31SCN in the good old days!

I try to be kay-poh again by asking Patsie Tan the SAME question. Will see what's the reply. I guess it will be better than the one from Mr Tan.

I doubt Tibs is so rich to buy more new buses? They don't have Tv mobiles to earn money. Even the tv mobiles on TIB1182J were removed

Hold on Hao Rui, there are 41 Lance 245s, 7 privately-registered ones, 1 unregistered one and CSS 310U. Perhaps they may want to keep the unregistered one, we have to see what goes.

Hey there peeps,

I agree with those who support Nissans to be sold off. Actually I wonder why Scanias are sold off.... Though they can get very hot in the afternoons... But it is better than Scania Elbo types... I hate them all Confused I wouldnt want Tibs to have TV mobile, there is just enough televisions on SBST buses already...

I agree with u Rachel. Only regular Tibs passengers who boarded Scanias / ELBOs for long distances will feel the discomfort. Yes, Nissan Diesels ought to be sold off, but still there are people out there liking the bus.
