How long will the TV mobile be on the SBS buses ?

Airbus330Captain SG

Anyone knows ?

Do you guys like the TV to stay on the SBS buses for good ?

kohanson SG

Yes i like, especially when it’s showing those comedy programs..

TV Mobile does provide commuters another way to kill their time when they are travelling on the bus. The programmes let many pple to be entertained.

Depends on what show . Hit Squad ? I dislike that show but I am not sure about what other thinks .

Personally, tv mobile is useless to hearing-impaired viewers during their rides. No English Subtltles is provided to assist them despite of their hearing loss. However, there is another advantage...visual actions of course! Wonder...if there is english subtitles on tv, it can reduce the level of noise...or will make you comfortable?

Hope one day...with English subtitles introduced, all hearing-impaired viewers will be delighted! Laughing If not, i dun think tv mobile can stay longer to make them happier, rite? ...

i quite enjoy tvmobile.......at least not so bored on long bus journeys.....the simul-cast of news slots is good...

but i hate the repeat telecasts......can see the same thing 3-4 times.....

SBS9816E SG

Benz I do agree with you! As you can see, hearing-impaired viewers don't even know what the show is talking about. Therefore, there would be a loss of 'communication' b/w the shows and the hearing-impaired viewers. About reducing the sound level of TV Mobile, I do really think that it's a good choice. Some people hate TV Mobile because they cannot get a good sleep in the bus before or after school or work. They can't enjoy some 'peace'. Razz

How are you going to read the subtitles on such a small TV?... they could enlarge it but then you enjoy the show with white lines all over the second half of the TV.

Do something like CNA?

get very irritated when trying to sleep on long rides.. then small children watching the "just for laughs" start laughing loudly...

sometimes try to watch but only get headaches.. i think it'll be worse if there were subtitles and people try to read.. like reading a book on a bus.. will end up with splitting headache..

then there's the noise.. already some buses are noisy, the traffic's noisy and adds to the headache at the end of the day

still think this tvmobile thing should have been drowned at birth

SBS9818A SG

I think it’s permanent. It has been 2 years since the trial began and the monitors don’t seem to disappear.

Smiley Volgren SG

I agree with you...CNA seems to have some subtlitles. Wonder why some chinese dramas dun have English subtitles on tv mobile while at home, they got subtitles. Fancy showing disrespect for hearing-impaired viewers!

Smiley Volgren SG

Is it? Suggest that the programme "Just for Laughs" should be highlighted in the afternoon to avoid noise. This is my favourite programme! Razz

If you are sitting near the tv mobile, you are able to read clearly. However if you are sitting at the back, FORGET it! haha Laughing I agree with you... reading books on bus will cause dizzy but watching tv should be ok as if your destination is short

It's Audioslave and Evanescene. Razz

Airbus330Captain SG

That is great !!

SBS9818A SG

It's EVANESCENCE. TVMobile to me is a distraction, with that I can't record the engine sound of the bus with my phone!
