tranquilice SG Which Single-Decker-only services would you like to see Double Decker being deployed? (exclude those services passing thru height limit roads) Examples of them already deployed are on 17 & 76. Which services with Double Decker do you like to see Double Decker being taken out of the fleet? (ie convert to all single deckers)
Airbus330Captain SG I would like to see bus 130 and 55 getting superbuses . There has been rumours that 55 are getting VSO buses , but that remains a mystery . From DD to Single deck , i think 93 should get all single decks , i seldom see that bus service full load .
off_service SG Service 93 gets full load only at Airport Road. That might be the reason why SBST did not deploy superbuses on it.
SBS9818A SG Yes, 93 is only full near Paya Lebar area. Other than that when I took the bus from WTC to go home the bus was almost empty, the bus driver could have chosen to speed but he didn’t want to!
SBS9816E SG I really want Svc 100 to have doouble deck buses as it has a rather high factor load during peak hours! The whole bus can be a can of sardines squeezing in a can during 5 to 7 pm! Another Svc is 135. In the morning, you can see that the bus is full of people! No space at all!! Svc 142 will downgraded fron double deck Leyland Atlanteans to Scania N113. Then, it had changed its fleet to a full MB O405 fleet.
SBS9819Y SG 135 may have DDs in the morning peak hours. Atlanteans used to be on the service and there since there were no major amendments to the route, DDs can be used on the service.
SBS9816E SG Hmm, it's quite okie. However, I think SBST should deploy 2/3 D/D Buses during off peak hours.
Airbus330Captain SG Hmmm , maybe they plan to introduced 135 later when some of the LOs buses replaced by VSO ? SBS is certainly making us play the guessing game .
off_service SG I think SBS will only consider dd on svc 135 or any other services only after the Boon Lay problem (e.g. LO 2 axles) are solved.
SBS9816E SG Guys! I am so happy to declare that SBS Transit is going through my suggestion of having double decker buses plying on Service 135! Cheers! However, the person who replied me seems to be a new person in the Corporate Communications Department of SBS Transit Ltd. Her name is Vanessa Lim. I am wondering if SBS Transit is going under some form of revolution within the department.
SBS9818A SG Jack, don’t be too overjoyed They give you a reply to say they are considering “this-and-that” and eventually nothing comes to fruition, as usual.
