acura to honda is like lexus to toyota...

acura is honda's attempted forray into US market... so acura cars are designed with americans in mind...

currently it has presence in north america and china/hk.. but japan's domestic market is still not ready for it yet...

i dun think sg is also ready for a luxury range of honda cars yet.... tt's why kah motors not bringing in...

and hence u have to PI.... Wink

hmmm

Acura is like the upper class honda in usa..

for example.. the integra is not known as the Honda Integra.. but rather as the Acura RSX..

the honda accord also.. its known as Acura XXX.. forgot what they called it..

and their so called type-r is the Acura Civic 2.0 SI.. with 200bhp..

Type-R is disallowed by the usa government... dunno why..

its not abt the horsepower of the car why it isnt allowed and stuff la.. just like why certain cars are not allowed here in sg.. but allowed overseas.. and vice versa..

but there are civics in the states running on JDM type-r engines..

The Accord by Acura is called the TL.. A friend of mine here in Canada is driving a TL Type S and i must say, it's a great car... Looking into getting one myself in the near future.
