What i heard last time was PS3 can play PS2 games
regardless or their hdd size . Put it this way HDD doesn't affect
anything other then the storage space inside the PS3 . Anybody who
tell you that only 80gb can play PS2 games most likely trying to
con you to buy the PS3 with the 80GB hdd . To play safe you can
surf for their PS3 official website to reat abt it . But the size
of the HDD definitely won't affect the capability whether can play
PS2 game or not .
