Mirror's Edge is many things: invigorating, infuriating,
fulfilling, and confusing. It isn't for everybody, and it stumbles
often for a game that holds velocity in such high esteem. But even
with all its foibles and frustrations, it makes some impressive
leaps; it just doesn't nail the landing.

Icebreakers are not known for their comfort. With their hulls
designed to crush through seasonal ice to keep important trade
routes open, icebreakers are constantly lurching and known to roll
even in moderate swells. As if that wasn't uncomfortable enough,
developer Action Forms has added dead bodies and abominable snowmen
to the North Wind, the nuclear-powered icebreaker that serves as
the setting for the Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason.

You never thought it would turn out like this—an all-out chase
where you’re the hunted. And the hunter. Now you must get behind
the wheel and risk everything to infiltrate a ruthless
international crime syndicate and take them down. The man you’re
after is a maniac behind the wheel, and he’s driving like his life
depends on escape, which maybe it does. He’s the one with all the
answers you need, you will track him down. Needless to say, that
fleet of police cruisers in your rearview mirror won’t make things
any easier. It will take all of your experience—and every ounce of
skill—to outrun the law, take down the enemy, and unlock the truth
that puts an end to this chase once and for all.

According to legend, when the ravens depart the Tower of London,
it will crumble to rubble and disaster will befall England. As man
became more dependent on science, believing only in what he could
define or create, ancient knowledge and rituals were lost to the
antiquity of time. Prophecies that had stood as warning for untold
generations were seen as archaic folly or ignorant superstition; so
when the harbingers of evil began to manifest, few saw and fewer
believed.
