problem with steam

help.. my steam hangs at the "connecting steam account" part...

Restart steam.
Close steam.exe in the processes tab in Task Manager, and run the program again.
If you still have that problem try reinstalling Steam.

mine owaes stuck at updating steam 26% then tell me only 1 steam can be run .

Lol sometimes steam takes quite a long time to update.
Esp. on a low-end pc.
The reason why they say only 1 steam client can be run is cause you musta have spammed clicked on the steam icon on your desktop to gettit started, and launched it several times.
Try waiting a few minutes after launching steam. If you cant update it prob. means it lost connection half way.

Specifications of com and Internet plan? Phenis could be right. Is your com a single-core, below 2GHz? Have you tried reinstalling Steam? Steam requires at least 400MHz, but who has that right now?

my com is core 2 duo 2.66 ghz, ram 4gb, singtel 3mbps

i had to reinstall it... fuck...
