Is there any difference between PAL & NTSC video games ?

I just bought a ps2 game " GT4 " from overseas, it was in NTSC format, whereas when I tried to load the disc into my PS2 console, it doesn't read, but when I tried to load other titles , it can work !!! So is it my disc problems or my PS2 console ? Or should I get a PAL disc to play or send my PS2 console to repair ?

Question 1: Is your PS2 PAL or NTSC? PAL consoles cannot play NTSC games and vice versa. I don't think that your PS2 is PAL, so verify that there is content on the disc (some can con you by selling you a blank disc).

Question 2: Is the site or shop or entity you bought the disc from reliable?
