OK, how to explain this... it's like LanCraft, only better.
There is no need for IPs. Ppl just put the name and pw of your
"Network" (example= DotA.info; pw=freeforall ) and you play
together, talk to each other etc. DL is very small, installation
fast, and it's very simple to use!
btw, I did make that network, for users of this forum, feel free to
check, maybe in some while more ppl wiil join.
Dota.sg ; password is freeforall
There are 3 main buttons, Power, Network and Preferances.
Power= on/off
Network= Create a new network
Join an existing network
Preferances= normal Options
It doesn't check for your IP, it doesn't check for your CD key, you
just join a network, tell some1 to make new game (or you make it),
you all join that game and you play! To join or create, go to LAN
(in Warcraft, or ANY other game), join a game, or create a new one.
It's like we are all connected with LAN
when you join a network, you see a list of ppl in it. if their
names are in white color, they are online. you can contact them,
and tell them that you would like to play with them. then 1 of you
creates a game in LAN, while others join that game in LAN. that's
it.
one last thing,If you can't see games appearing in LAN, then you
need to fix your Hamachi preferences.
Go to preferences, then System. Check the "Magic Option". Then
apply settings and open WC3 again. Games should now be appearing if
they didn't before. hope you guys can join me!
