You sure u wanna be a chef? Let me tell u that a chef earns
little for the hours and effort he puts into his work (dun talk abt
those celebrity chefs - i dun consider them chefs anyway). but if u
got the passion, why not.
If you talk to the chinese chefs in Singapore at least, most of
them if not all will tell you that they are chefs because they are
not good in their studies. No courses, no certs...they just started
from the bottom and become who they are today.
If you talk to the western chefs, they believe alot in education.
Alot of the Western Kitchen Executive Chefs in Singapore do have
some form of education for example, Mr Weibel, Director Of Kitchens
for Swissotel was educated in schools before becoming who he is
today.
So you can decide to go to schools or just simply start
cooking.....in any case, its good to learn from the bottom if you
wanna be a chef.
