went to Streeters last nite for my other half's birthday
celebration. there were slightly more than 10 customers. we could
hear each other even as we kept our voices low.
we ordered the paella marinara but we did not like it, too oily
& part of the rice was hard, n too much black pepper. eggwhite
stuffed with seafood - nothing exciting. the eggplant with cheese
& tomato is good. garlic chicken morsels is good too, lots of
sliced garlic; i ate it with the crispy sliced baguette. they were
generous with the bread, it was hot & crispy, the dip provided
for the bread was good. i think it is a herb in olive oil. we enjoy
the bread more than the paella!
I had a very good seafood paella at a Spanish restaurant when I was
in Manila. The tapas there was superb. And there was a wide range
of desserts to choose from.
didn't order much as the other half doesn't eat beef or lamb.
dessert was Aubergines Dolce. it's deep fried eggplant with sliced
peaches, drizzled with honey. it's so-so but expensive
S$7.80++.
