Order a black pepper crab and a craypot beancurd at place as
stated ... decided to give it a go since the place is rather famous
.... hahahaa i think so far this is the worst BP crabs i eaten
outside .. definately not worth the wait and cost.
Maybe i had a picky mouth or maybe i been too much in the F & B
line.
The crab IS
over fried ....u tried to eat the legs and the meat sticks to the
shell
not spicy enough..... the BP taste is not that strong and u dun see
any BP in the crabs or gravy..
too oily ...... well the amount of oil versus gravy is like 2 : 3
,,,,
just my few opinion ... why the F do u need to deep fry the crab
until is so cooked then stir fry it with the gravy ... even if the
shell becomes that crispy i dun think anyone will eat it ??? i
would have play with the fire temp .. uping it when removing the
crabs so it absorbs less oil and only cooking it till abt 60% cook
... and over high heat i cook the crab with a lmore watery and less
salty gravy so that by the time the crabs is 199% cooked the gravy
will have thicken / the taste goes into the crab / the taste of the
crab and BP will have been fusioned and balance ...
The beancurd is not worth mentioning ..... waste of enegry to chew
and swallow ... Sometimes i wonder if SGreans goes for the fame or
the taste of the food when we dine out
