Depending on what map you go...you will be offered a free machine gun..
and 2 grenades and 1 handgun and G-GUN..

Ok Lets start with basic tips..

1. Magnum is the most effective 1 hit kill weapon in the whole game ,
better then crossbow

2. Always pick up large objects to throw..and aim at the spot and getting closer to the person always help

3. Move around..Always do that..if u fail to move around..your body will become full of bullets..

4. Take medipaks and the HEV suit energy power up only when area is safe..

5. Using the Super "Rifle" with the right click special plasma power can kill enemies spreaded out inside a room

6. Throwing is only effective at short ranges..

7. The Grenade and Bazooka missile "splash" range has been reduced..
do hit accurate..

8. Using right click to grab the weapon and throw the weapon at someone
is much more effective then using 1 to fire all the way

9. Always go servers with lag-free...

10. Work with your teammates to help secure a area..

11. In HL 2 DeathMatch, skills doesn't matter much anymore, weapon does

12. When throwing explosive barrels around, do ensure no one shoots at it

13. Check your team..and know how to identify your members at long ranges..

14. Remember not to play too long =p

15. Stock up enough ammo for emergencies..conquer sector by sector..
always watch your back

always remember to use hidden weapons like plasmacasters and do not walk when cloaked cos the slight reflection of light will give your position away.

right...skill doesnt matter anymore...

in a few months time there will be siao people who can long jump into the air and and throw an explosive barrel at you then shoot it when its near your face while using sniper rifle to snipe another guy then switch to magnum and shoot a third guy in the head before dropping down to the ground.
