kakashi84 SG

apparently they are in debts cos of PSP..if this thing flops Sony is dead in the water, what most of u dont know is that they are in debt up to their ears already.

Analysts see the unit's faltering revenues as having put pressure on PSP pricing, announced the same day as its Q2 earnings. When Sony announced that the PSP would be offered to Japanese consumers at a price of 19,800 yen ($185), the industry expressed palpable shock at the diminutive sticker price.

While Sony has reportedly said the downgrade would have no impact on its financing abilities, The Financial Times called the downgrade "an embarrassment."

The last time S&P lowered Sony's credit rating was in 1993.

Now read this report on Sonys merger with MGM,

They better pray PSP is a winner, they are in serious trouble. They have dominated the industry with the PS2 yet they run such a poor company that they still cant manage a profit. Its all over IMO

though i stopped playing my ps2..i still hope they come up with ps3 to challenge xbox

shade343 SG

no lah. they just drop one rating only lor. Its not like that their market value is gonna crash or something. And besides PSP cheap is better mah, can sell more units and games oso and add more ppl to their fan base. XBOX SUXS. Controller so damn big so hard to play properly.

kakashi84 SG

did u read properly?69 Billions in debts is no laughing matter..even ppl from ps2 forums are getting worried abt it...ignorant ps2 fanboy..are u a girl who gas girly hands to think that the xbox controllers are too big?even those kids i saw playing the xbox are not making any whiny complains on its size..btw,what does controllers gotta do with the games and gameplay

"The financial press is citing the earnings report Sony delivered to investors on October 28 as what prompted S&P to reconsider the rating. On that date, the company reported that fiscal second-quarter operating profit at its electronics unit fell 83 percent, to 7.2 billion yen ($69.7 million). "

Wher got 69 billion ? You pah jiao is it? BTW XBOX SUX. dun even have good rpg games on it. Unless they redesigned the xbox controller, to something smaller. I think Japan the Xbox got redesign its controller, but not sure why its not sold in Singapore.

kakashi84 SG

but it seems only ps2 fanboys got issues with txbox controllers..i have no problems switching from ps2 controllers top xbox controllers..though fps games took me 1 or 2 days to get used to it..btw,xbox controllers are more suitable for fps than ps2.why are u guys diverting ur attention to the xbox btw?

littlebeaker SG

I'm just correcting your statement about controllers being not important. I did not mention any names did I? Rolling Eyes

kakashi84 SG

look who is talking lah,the smaller version of the controller is already in singapore..which is the controller 's' u get in singapore..noot the big and bulky original controller..u dont even know what u are talking abt man.i dont even think u ever play a decent xbox game before u start slagging it off..rpg are not in abundance in the xbox library..who doesnt know abt it?if u want rpg,u can try out fable, kotor, deus ex,balder gate 2,sudeki and LOTR:third age

kakashi84 SG

ok..not trying to start a war of words..just hate it when ppl hates on something they never experience before and come up with stupid criticism..ps2 has some very nice games..who doesnt know abt it?im even playing smackdown vs raw and metal gear solid 3 recently.

Sagara SG

whats with the fanboy calling .. ?

We all are gamers, we love games and we play them all fine. Cool

Lingos SG

Quick.. everyone run out and get PSP..

I smell a takeover possibility for GE. At the rate that GE is buying up everything.

shade343 SG

Really? then it seems that you should become an Xbox retailer. Becos when I checked with the staff of Harvey Norman, they said there was no difference with the controllers of the United States and the one in Singapore. And when i mention about the Jap controllers, they said no such thing. So you sure about your this info? If thats the case, I think they didnt really redesigned the controller properly. Its still to bulky and oversize and not as elegant as the PS2 controller.

kakashi84 SG

im sick of this..see the link..the bigger and bulky controller is the original xbox controller, the smaller one is the controllers we see in singapore now..its call the controller 's'.xbox controller will always be bigger than ps2..if u think ur hand is too small u can stick to ur ps2 controllers..but i think even if xbox controller is small,u will always find some lame excuse to bash it..if u prefer ps2,gd for u!every1 got diff taste.
