I love good food and I appreciate those TV shows that tells us
where the good food are. But I hate those stall owners that jack up
the price just because their stall is heavily popularised by
TV.
I was at Ang Mo Kio Central on Friday with a friend and he was
ranting about buying the Ang Mo Kio famous curry puff - TIP TOP.
It's in a corner of a kopitiam next to Jubilee Entertainment
Centre's Pizza Hut.
It was only about 40 cents then! After all these years, the curry
puff had slowly jack up the price to 90 cents a piece now. What the
hell! A curry puff for 90 cents in a kopitiam?! How much is the
cost price of curry puff??!
I refused to pay that kind of money. Besides it's just a piece of
curry puff.
So I strongly urge all people to boycott these stores who jack up
the price due to the popularity they are gaining. Imagine if we
stop patronising, no one will buy any more of your curry puff and
you may just close shop, go home and sleep. All because you are
exploiting your faithful customers after you gained your popularity
due to US!
