Xbox

jasmine17 SG

Is it worth buying ? Very Happy

jasmine17 SG

No one like Bill Gates ? Laughing

icecloud SG

Think could be quite worth it considering that it is actually a computer which is used to play games...

but i guess its up to the individual to decide?

jasmine17 SG

By comparing it to PS2 , the games available are not as many.

But the graphics is better than PS2 Cool

jasmine17 SG

Picture for the uninitiated

icecloud SG

Ya, PS has been around for quite some time and has established games such as FF...

I think X box need some time to catch up...

jasmine17 SG

Think microsoft have some new exclusive games that is quite nice and appealing Mr. Green

icecloud SG

Ya, think microsoft should be able to capture part of the market share...

but think sony is coming out with PS X liao...
anyone can confirm on this?

the Bear SG

i think PSX is this integrated PS2 and a home entertainment system or something...

as someone who played games a lot, i look to see what kind of software it has.. and potential...

so far, the sales of PS2s are way way WAY more than the XBox and GameCube put together...

this means that game publishers will tend to write more for the PS2

besides, it is rumoured that the PS3 will be out in a couple of years.. and again, it's backward compatible...

XBOX SUX Twisted Evil Mr. Green

jasmine17 SG

halo!!!!!!

the Bear SG

PSX was announced end of last month.. it is basically a PlayStation game machine, fitted with a DVD recorder and television tuner.

icecloud SG

So i guess most of the people still prefer PS?
Or am i wrong?

jasmine17 SG

You are correct. PS got loads and loads of games. Mr. Green

If PS2 hardware is improved to be better then Xbox then it will be perfect
Maybe call PSX-2 hee

jasmine17 SG

Xbox got halo version wo wo Mr. Green

the Bear SG

PS3 Smile

they're developing the CPU with a totally different design.. i think it runs like a parallel computer or something

jasmine17 SG

Hmmm.... might take over computers. hee Mr. Green

Me still prefer console games as it is projected on a larger screen! the t.v. hee

the Bear SG

this is the thing both Sony and Microsoft were thinking of doing..

it would be an integrated "Entertainment/Internet system"

imagine.. you could use it as a computer, a gaming console, a DVD player, an internet interface console....

now do you know why Microsoft is willing to lose money for each XBox sold? Each XBox actually costs more to produce than the list price...

imagine the penetration into households if the next generation machine becomes THAT set-top that does everything... and imagine the captive audience as well as the power that comes with it...

the potential of these machines is immense... it's no longer about just games...

technology is reallie fast changing. Razz
