pie SG dispute the bill when it comes. generally it is safe if you purchase from established brands...e.g. sony, amazon etc i think there are a number of forumites who do online shopping
cutepixie SG not to say not safe la. i said the least safe because sometimes you dont receive your stuff
MeoW_MeoW SG the basic rule is to buy from people with good ratings and no bad history... so you need to do some simple background checks... the risk is very minimal... i am speaking from personal experience ........................................................................................................................................ ~ meow ~ meow ~ meow ~ meow meow ~ meow ~ meow ~ meow ~ ........................................................................................................................................ thhong22 SG ehhh..... i trying to get a chinese book from a taiwan website..... cos i cant find it anywhere in sg........ www.books.com.tw i dare not click the confirm hahaha.......... haven click yet
^sylvia^ SG hi! rem’ to take down the receipt number, but be careful in choosing websites, some may not be reliable.
delonchew SG I agree with MeoW_MeoW. I have been dealing quite a lot on Yahoo Singapore Auctions too and so far, I have not encountered any bad buyers or sellers. I think it all boils down to the integrity of both the buyer and the seller. There's a certain risk when dealing over the internet because you can never know whether the other party is genuine or not. I personally feel that it's a gamble and of course, if you do some background checks on the retailer/seller, it becomes more of a calculated risk rather than an uncalculated one.
pie SG as i said, you can always dispute the bill if they overcharge you, but so far I've never been overcharged. if this taiwan website is known...not some overnight springup, it shd be relatively safe.
