new WIP... as im adviced by staffs of HAG not to paint and EVEN topcoating...... this stargazer will have to go original color instead of orange... Sad anyways sanded most of the parts and prepared it for top coat. HAG's staffs ok to give me free top coat service because of my skin condition...

Purplehaze623 SG

haiya... can see the usual chrome problem... Confused

digicharat SG

what problem is there?
only had 1 MG patlabour but not open yet. Laughing

Purplehaze623 SG

the sprue gates of chrome parts tend to have the same problem of chipping off.

Gordonator SG

yes the chrome layer where u cut off the part from the runner will wear off.

what i can suggest to bandai is that for future release with chrome parts, they can strategically hide the thingy holding the parts to the runner at the back so that it can be concealed after cutting.

duotiga83 SG

That is 1 obvious cutting Confused

Purplehaze623 SG

can hide inside hand or between fingers very good le la... Laughing

Gordonator SG

yes. that is what i mean by strategically hiding.

totohum SG

i think bandai actually does something like this for most chrome sets, at least in the case of 1/100 akatsuki and SF full burst...only the hands have this problem.....

duotiga83 SG

actually if you notice, they only did that to those special edition sets like destiny extreme blast, hguc zeta chrome. If not for those chrome sets like Akatsuki, Hyakushiki have no problem on that for the tree spurs is place inside of it.

Gordonator SG

for strike freedom full burst mode, yes u are right. other than the hands, they hide the gates behind the parts so that after u cut and join the parts, it will be hidden.

but sadly MG Destiny extreme blast mode, it does not has this same layout as strike freedom full burst mode.

Purplehaze623 SG

notice that even if some of the gates are hidden well, there'll still be some of the parts sprued at quite obvious locations for HG1/144 chromed kits. e.g. my akatsuki. i made it at quite bad conditions because of that...

Gordonator SG

if u look at this pic, the left one is strike freedom full burst mode in which the gates are hidden behind the part as compared to the normal edition on the right.

sadly MG Destiny Full Blast Mode doesn't have this. Sad
