Bandai & Sunrise collaborate on new card battle game
Bandai announced "The Fusion
Clashes: Gundam Battle Rave", a new card battle game going on
sale at the end of December. The project is a collaboration between
Bandai and Sunrise featuring original Gundams made through the
fusion of a core "Machine Soul" MS card and a "Battle Rave" card
representing something else. Examples include the fusion of a
Gundam and a rhinoceros beetle (the "Gun Daibeet"), a Gundam and a
ninja ("Koga G Shinobi"), and a Gundam and an electric heater ("Gun
Hedam"). Kunio Okawara and Hajime Katoki took part as creators of
the original designs. Bandai says the target audience is elementary
schoolboys and their aim is to sell 40 million cards by the end of
March 2009.
