MG no.100

totohum SG

Info: August of this year will see the sale of the 100th Master Grade item since the MG line first appeared with the RX-78 Gundam in July 1995. When you buy a MG from a participating shop, you get a 36-page, full color book which contains a development history & main selling points of the MG MS-06J Ver. 2.0, a How To portion for simple finishing (beginner/minor pro), and an introduction to the 99 MG items paving the way for the MG Countdown 100. The book is Bandai's first step in commemorating the 100th Master Grade.

Some cool stuff...hopefully we will get this...
Any guesses on what is the 100th MG?

MG Destiny Gundam? Shocked

i much preferred a MG Infinite Justice Gundam. Confused

jetabt767400 SG

But I would really like to see a MG Destiny, although I might not buy, but that too depends on the space in my room…

Gordonator SG

sometimes i wonder do some MG series really deserve to be MG? as in MG gelgoog, zaku, dom etc? as in their design isn't that complicated at all. Confused

duotiga83 SG

high chances are gonna be like ver 2.0

jetabt767400 SG

Hmm, any idea would a MG be a ship? Quite impossible eh, cos its like so complicated structures and it defies the logic that its a MS should be in MG.
And ships are in EX series...
Me votes for RX-78 ver2.0, 'junks away the vote for Destiny', hahahaha...

Gordonator SG

i have a question. usually how often do Bandai release MG kits? one MG kit per month?

duotiga83 SG

ave is 1 per mth.....

duotiga83 SG

quite unlikely as most ships/MA is in the EX scale.....well Zaku is coming in 2.0 so cant deny for RX-78-2

Master Grade No.100 Countdown
With the 98th (Char's Zaku II ver 2.0) and 99th (Char's Gelgoog ver 2.0) MG kits announced, the "MG No.100 Countdown" campaign is now underway. Sponsored by Gundam Ace, Dengeki Hobby Magazine, and Hobby Japan Magazine, readers can submit their guesses as to what the 100th will be on a postcard that comes with each issue. Bandai will randomly give away 100 gold-plated versions of the 100th MG kit to contestants with the correct MS.

The 100th MG will be announced at the Shizuoka Hobby Show (May 17-20th).

What if the 100th MG is Akatsuki MG? (Heh, no no, joking only)
Wah, then all the gold can be put to good use, with current prices so high...

Gordonator SG

lets hope the 100th will be a gundam, preferrably from gundam seed or destiny series. Very Happy

anyway i have a question guys. MG kits can be based on any gundams, any series no matter how old they are right?

totohum SG

yea i think its like that...but usually the more popular gundam will be in MG

Gordonator SG

MG gundam deathscythe hell custom anyone? Wink

duotiga83 SG

This is rather obvious now...

Purplehaze623 SG

RX-78-2 version wad? 3?

Gordonator SG

sigh... Sad

was expecting it to be a MG destiny kit. Sad Crying or Very sad

totohum SG

There might be still some hope that it would be another mobile suit though..it didn't really say it is the RX-78
hopefully bandai will surprise us at the hobby show when they reveal MG 100...
