The Ministry Of Defense's Gundam revealed
Sankei News posted a photo and description of
the "Gundam" advanced personal equipment system that made the
rounds in the news last week. The ground combat-oriented system
consists of a bulletproof vest and a helmet with a display that
shows a physical status monitor, GPS positional info, and video of
other locations. Three sets will be shown off at the Symposium this
week, with one on display and another for visitors to try. The
Ministry Of Defense's Technical Research & Development
Institute is quoted as being perplexed with the reaction the
listing received as the research was focused on group IT and it was
listed as Gundam because it was called that by some of the
researchers several years back.
