Japan government: Don't Wiki from work
Yomiuri Online reports the Ministry Of
Agriculture, Forestry, And Fisheries announced today it verbally
reprimanded 6 people for using their computers while at work to
contribute to Wikipedia entries. One of these is a person who
wrote more than 200 bits of Gundam-related
material. Since 2003, 4008 contributions were made to Wikipedia
from the Ministry, with 2/3 of those having no connection to their
work duties. Changes were made in the system to prevent office
computers from being used to write further such entries.
