The latest issue of Famitsu finally gave details on a second Gundam game for the Wii, Mobile Suit Gundam: MS Sensen (Warfront/Battle Lines) 0079, coming July 26:
- First person point-of-view.
- Take & exchange weapons from defeated enemies.
- Shooting is done by turning on aim with the pointer (Sniper mode).
- The Wiimote is used for melee attacks.
- Fierce close combat ensues when you use melee attacks at the same time as the enemy
- Before sorties, you can change the colors of your MS and its wingmen's

Developer is BEC. Series list is First, 0080, 08th MS Team, and Blue Destiny. You move with the Nunchuk stick, dash & jump with the Z button, and lock-on with C. You move aim and change direction using the pointer on the Wiimote, switch to melee with A, and fire weapons with B. 80% complete.

When both the player and enemy units do melee attacks, they can get into melee weapon clashes. For several seconds after that, swinging the Wiimote will fill an onscreen gauge and can let you use special attacks.

Pressing the B button allows one to guard in melee. If you swing the Wiimote with the right timing when your opponent attacks, you can perform a "guard impact" counter.

The 6 modes of the game include Ace Pilot mode (following stories as seen in the anime) and Story mode (original stories with the characters).

Earth Federation (SRT-Unit 1 Corps):
2nd Lt. Alan Aylward (Hiroshi Kamiya) - Serves as the head of the Corps and protagonist of the Federation scenario. He excels at piloting and is a decisive leader. But perhaps because of his child-like face he tends to be seen as wishy-washy.

Master Sergeant Dennis Barrow (Hiroki Takahashi) - A handsome-looking young man. Though a talkative playboy, his combat skill is true. He's good at everything from constructing strategies to building things but his real forte is as a marksman.

Corporal Hoa Blanchett (Sayaka Ohara) - Serves as the team's operator and is a non-combatant. A calm, older sister figure who brings everyone together. Has a strong ability to analyze information.

Warrant Officer Lilu Sommers (Masumi Asano) - Strong-willed, egotistical lady. Is disgruntled by her assignment to the oddball SRT-Unit 1 Corps but gradually opens her heart to those around her.

Principality Of Zeon (Brauer Team):
2nd Lt. Leo Brauer (Koutarou Namura) - A man with great self-respect from a fallen noble family. Mischievous yet lively, he is beloved by many. The kind of person who makes decisions quickly and tends to be in touch with his surroundings.

Master Sergeant Klaus Bertrand (Daisuke Ono) - Leo's childhood friend. An intellectual who's always scheming for his own benefit. At first, he appears gentle and friendly but his true nature is dark.

Sergeant Toldo Bobrov (Osamu Hosoi) - Veteran pilot who worked as a colony construction subcontractor in the past. Surviving from the beginning of the One Year War, he has a wealth of experience.

Private 2nd Class Ann Friberg (Fumiko Orikasa) - Operator and non-combatant. Finished training courses at the academy and was assigned halfway through. As this is her first time on Earth and on the frontlines, she's beginning to feel the stress.

MS Sensen 0079 multiplay modes

The official site has a multiplay page up in its Modes section: Versus Mode features split screen battle against the computer (VSCPU), against another player (VS2P), or coop 2-players against the computer (VSTAG). In Survival Mode, you beat down as many enemies as you can in 3 minutes and can compete with a second player. Combination Mode has original missions that can be cleared collaboratively selecting every pilot & MS from either the Fed or Zeon sides.

MS Sensen 0079 Sale Commemoration Present Campaign

The Wii game's official site put up a section for its Club Nintendo campaign. From July 26 to August 31, 1,000 people registering a serial number that comes with the game with Club Nintendo will be selected via lottery to receive a MS Sensen 0079 Limited Color MG RX-78-2 Gundam kit.

According to Gpara's Media Create info, MS Sensen 0079 sold 46,000 copies its first week, coming in at #5 overall. Much better than the first Wii Gundam title, SD Gundam Scad Hammers.
